New Librarian

If you have noticed, Mr.Gugle is no longer working at Tyrrell school for the year.This year the students came to find that Mr.Gugle wasn't here. Later on they announced that he will not be here this year and that we will be geting a new librarian for the year. If you haven't met her, she is a pretty good librarian. She is called Ms.Brakett. She is not funny like Mr.Gugle, but she is nice. We will all miss Mr.Gugle, and we all hope that he will be back soon

Halloween

As we all know Halloween is coming up, so we are all preparing for the big event so get your ghost stories prepared and prepare to have some fun. I still don't know if we will be having the parade where everyone with costumes will walk around. I hope we do,after all its pretty fun seeing other kids costumes. We are all very excited about Halloween, and we hope all the kids bring their costumes to school(if they are allowed this year). We hope you have a fun time waiting for this fun event! The Dragon Blog

Tyrrel's blog called The Dragon Blog is now up and runing!. We will post new blogs every once in a while.We will be talking about important events that are happening, or that will be happening here in Tyrrell School. New Books?

Are Tyrrell teachers going to get new books for the class? The Schoolastic Book Magazine has arrived to Tyrrell School. There is a collection of 100 books, with some cool extras included with a couple of books! From the funny Diary Of A Wimpy Kid books to the Action pounding of The Percy Jackson Series. There are books that are under three dollars! This magazine contains books of all types: Comedy, Action, Fantasy,Fiction,Non-Fiction, entertainment and many more. Will teachers take advantege of this event? Will you?

Assembly at Tyrrell

On Tuesday, Tyrrell students went to an assembly to hear about wearing uniforms and about not throwing things into the construction area. Everybody heard Ms. Maldonado speak about safety, and other school rules.

School Year Begins at Tyrrell!

This year Tyrrell students arrived for the first day of classes to find a new soccer field! Not only that, but the construction is underway for a whole new school! Everybody is excited to see what it is going to look like. If any body has played on the soccer field, please leave comment and say what you think about it.

Earthquake Terror

Ilse and me,Tiffany were just reading a book named Earthquake Terror written by Peg Kehret and illustrator Phil Boatwright. Earthquake Terror has a great lesson: to be prepared for anything that can happen.It was about a boy named Jonathan who is twelve years old and a little sister named Abby that is six years old.when they were going to the magpie island her mom broke her ankle the dad had to leave them alone in the island. Suddenly the kids felt themselves be lifted. Him and his sister were scared of the earthquake Jonathan felt like it was a long time.

MOVIE REVIEW: ARE WE DONE YET

The live action film, Are We There Yet is so funny and hilarious that I watched and watched it again. Nick, the children’s step father bought an old house, It was built in 1864, and there was a lot of destruction .There was a lot of noise because they were building the house. Nick fell a lot of times really hard. There were many kinds of animals in the house/ there were mice, birds, bats, and raccoons. Suzan was pregnant and she had 2 babies and Nick was building the house. It was really humorous and awesome. I recommend this movie for little kids and adults, it doesn’t have violence. I think that its fun to watch it.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST!!!

HEY TYRRELL STUDENTS there is GOING TO BE A HALLOWEEN COSTUME contest. Who ever has the best costume in the SCHOOL will win a prize. There will be 6 WINNERS: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for both lower and upper elementary. Each class will pick a winner, and that winner will complite schoolwide.
